Ed Kuepper MFLL Concert Tour

Video 8 mins 2004

This video work was produced in collaboration with the Australian painter Tony Clark, and utilises his paintings as its main source.

The work was commissioned for the MFLL (Music for Len Lye) tour by the Australian musician Ed Kuepper for his song The Thickness of Two Planks. Inspired by Kuepper’s song, Tony Clark and I created a pictorial journey through a quixotic landscape, where portraits of animals and people, and elements of Clark’s landscape paintings, are brought together.

The images projected behind the Ed Kuepper was created in collaboration with Tony Clark. Other artists invited to produce a video work for the MFLL tour include: Heimo Zobernig (Vienna), Leni Hoffmann (Düsseldorf), Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster (Paris) Liam Gillick (New York) A.D.S. Donaldson (Sydney) and Burchill/McCamley (Melbourne).
